On our farm both options are grass fed on pasture unconfined through the entire process. In fact all cattle can be called grass fed if they were ever in a pasture or fed hay. The reality is grass fed is more nutritious if it is on grass until it is processed. This is why we use the rotational grazing techniques we do, to keep the cattle on the freshest pasture possible throughout the entire process. But there is an inconvenience to grass finished. That is that you lose the marbling of a well finished steak that gives it the juicy sweet flavor we have all come to love. This is where our organic grain and grass finished beef stands out. You get the best of both worlds. The cattle are still eating grass unconfined on pasture through the whole process but are also fed a healthy organic ration custom produced just for us that takes them to the next level. But we like to give you options that’s why we still offer 100% Grass Finished Beef.
